Codeigniter integration not working for some reason
June 21, 2016 at 4:02 pmPosts: 6Member Reply #6709
I have no idea of what is wrong. I can load the theme on local host and it works perfectly, but then I try to do the same loading the index page as a view in codeigniter and it does not work. Obviously, I’m changing the href paths so it correctly relates to all the css and js files. The assets folder is located in the root folder as I always set it up for any codeigniter app. The weird thing is that it does load some css files, as it partially style the page. I’ll upload an img of how it looks like…
Thanks in advance.

So I checked the console and the jquery.min.js file is messing up with other file, which doesn’t make sense, as it makes no reference to this other file at all. Here is the console.

The 404 error for the css file in the console says that the path is invalid. I suggest you to double check and make sure all the paths are valid. If you need any further help can you please provide us a test link to your site in a private reply so we can check your code further and point you out.

Hi Sean, the problem is that I’m not requesting that link at all. the jquery.min.js is messing up with it, in fact if I delete the jquery request link, it “works” fine, except that I need jquery for everything else. If I open the jquery file and search for any reference to that “components-rounded.min.css” I find nothing as well. Something is generating that href to http://localhost/metro/index.php/assets/global/css/components-rounded.min.css and it would be fine if it wasn’t for the /index.php part, that’s where the path is wrong, but how can I change it if I wasn’t the one who linked it?

Where is components-rounded.min.css located ?
Please try to open the css file directly in your browser:
http://localhost/metro/index.php/assets/global/css/components-rounded.min.css and you will see some errors due to its reference to the index.php
Can you please check the above ?

That’s what I’m trying to say, there is no way it could be under <span style=”color: #555555; font-family: Hind, ‘Helvetica Neue’, Helvetica, sans-serif; line-height: 28px;”> </span><span style=”color: #555555; font-family: Hind, ‘Helvetica Neue’, Helvetica, sans-serif; line-height: 28px;”>http://localhost/metro/index.php/assets/global/css/components-rounded.min.css</span>
as index.php is not even a folder.
It is indeed located under http://localhost/metro/assets/global/css/components-rounded.min.css<span style=”color: #555555; font-family: Hind, ‘Helvetica Neue’, Helvetica, sans-serif; line-height: 28px;”> </span>
but that jquery file is trying to get it using the wrong path but I was not the one who wrote the path, I have no idea of what’s going on.

Some screenshots of how I’m referencing the files and my folder structure:

Your reference looks ok. But we are not able to investigate the issue without checking your site somewhere online. If possible please deploy your site into your test server and provide us a test link in a private reply. Please note that this is not general theme error or bug since never had such bug report before. I suspect this is an individual issue related to your integration.
